Dear Family,

"For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107v9

There is nothing so satisfying as the God's love and salvation. Jesus told the woman at the well that if she drank of the water that He had she would be thirsty no more!

We were all living day to day and searching for something to fill our longing, a longing that we didn't even understand. And then God
revealed Himself to us and we totally understood what the true meaning of life is all about.

Why were we born and what is life all about? When I was 12 years old I believe that God put that question in my mind. And boy, did He ever give me the answer! We aren't here to satisfy ourselves... we are here to live and love and give to others the way that Jesus showed us!

And the only way we will know how Jesus is showing us is to read His word daily and let our minds absorb the Scriptures. This will allow us to draw closer to Him and the other benefit is that the evil one will have to flee from us!

John and I thank God now for this time of our lives when we can have more time to be in the Word and share our hours with each other. We have a daily reading Bible which gives daily portions of the Old Testament, Psalms, Proverbs and the New Testament and we are enjoying our time together.

Thank you again with our whole hearts for everyone's prayers and cards and visits. John has only three more chemo treatments and a follow up cat scan and then he will go for periodic check ups.

"Oh give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever." Psalms 107v1

Love,

Carol
